Question: Netanyahu doesn’t really care about the United States, does he? Weapons for who? Are we supplying?
for their protection against Iran and Pakistan or will they soon overtake our own arsenal, for other reasons?

Haaretz AW Glenn Kessler
July 16, 2010
Netanyahu: America is a thing you can move very easily’
The United States and Israel have made a huge effort this month to patch up the sometimes difficult relationship between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. But a newly released video of Netanyahu, speaking in an unvarnished manner in 2001 about relations with the United States and the peace process, may cause some heartburn at the White House.
“I know what America is,” Netanyahu told a group of terror victims, apparently not knowing his words were being recorded. “America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won’t get in their way.”
Netanyahu also bragged how he undercut the peace process when he was prime minister during the Clinton administration. “They asked me before the election if I’d honor [the Oslo accords],” he said. “I said I would, but … I’m going to interpret the accords in such a way that would allow me to put an end to this galloping forward to the ’67 borders. How did we do it? Nobody said what defined military zones were. Defined military zones are security zones; as far as I’m concerned, the entire Jordan Valley is a defined military zone. Go argue.”
Gideon Levy, a left-leaning columnist for Haaretz newspaper, declared: “This video should have been banned for broadcast to minors. This video should have been shown in every home in Israel, then sent to Washington and Ramallah. Banned for viewing by children so as not to corrupt them, and distributed around the country and the world so that everyone will know who leads the government of Israel.”
Of course, the video is from nearly ten years ago. Opinions change, based on circumstances and experience. But who knows what leaders are really saying when they think the cameras aren’t filming?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They are thinking the same thing,,,,year after year after decade after decade….
Israel has enough military weapons, most of which we supply, and too much of Our money.,
Israel can fight its own battles.
and in reality Israel isn’t in any position to help the US if we need help.
Again let her fight Iran. On her own.
Question: Do you agree with what Vladamir Putin said about the United States today?
Mr Putin told senior security officials from around the world that nations were “witnessing an almost uncontained hyper use of force in international relations”.
“One state, the United States, has overstepped its national borders in every way,” he said, speaking through a translator.
“This is very dangerous. Nobody feels secure anymore because nobody can hide behind international law.
“This is nourishing an arms race with the desire of countries to get nuclear weapons.”
Attorney Lisa Newfield explains the importance of charitable giving during Hudson Valley Estate Planning Day.
thegutenbergeffect.blogspot.com I wasn’t aware of the Nerdfighter: Project for Awesome thing when I recorded this earlier tonight. The thoughts came from a conversation with a friend, who live near this location, a week or so back. But tonight was the night I went down with my camera. So I’m not against the Nerdfighters. I’m sure Project for Awesome will help many people. My question is would it still be in our hearts to help if we didn’t get any attention or acclaim for it? Thanks for watching. Do have your say!
Question: Why is “religion” such a “taboo” subject to talk about?
Before, as an atheist, I found many people very hesitant and uncomfortable talking about “religious” things – whether discussing the existence (or non-existence) of God or the various major religions.
And even NOW, as a Christian, I find that many Christians don’t even like to discuss theology!?!
If “theology” is basically the study of God…and God is the center of your love, adoration, and worship…wouldn’t you want to know as much as possible about Him?!?
And if you think “one way” about God, but are wrong…wouldn’t you, by all means, desire to be corrected and think rightly about the One you love and adore?!?
To abandon truth and discussion of truth for the sake of “unity” is profoundly absurd…
For, only through truth are people united!
Even now the “tares” abandon truth and are being “gathered together” in unity.
While the “wheat” are being “gathered together”, unified by truth.
-
But why are many people unable to even discuss these things?
Religion and politics often make some people lose all perspective and give way to ranting and raving and carrying on like emotional children. They either refuse to discuss it with reason or else they prefer argumentum ad homeinem, which is a hell of a way to conduct a discussion. Well, anyhow, not long ago I was talking about the elections and how the campaigns were ignoring the issues and sticking instead to invective and personal crap that had nothing to do with the substantive problems of running a government (which is all true as you know if you followed the speeches and so-called debates of the candidates). Anyhow, one of the guys I was talking with said not a word in the whole conversation except at the end when he suddenly chuckled and said we were all full of sh*t and why didn’t we all go live in Russia or China if that was the way we all hated the United States of America! Next thing you know, the whole blooming discussion is more like a brawl and the epithets flew thick and fast and the noise was incredible! Someone said “son of a *****” and I think he said “bastard!” (I couldn’t be sure; it was all so confusing.) Well, anyhow, I was attempting to get it all back on a rational level. I tried, for example, to talk to the one who had started it all and I asked him just what did he mean we were all full of sh*t? Was he making a statement of fact as he knew it and where was his documentation to back up his claim? I think Socrates would have been proud of the way I refuted his argument. That is, I *tried* to refute it. But all he could offer by way of rebuttal was more of the same: about how we were all full of sh*t. But he wouldn’t say why; he just kept on repeating it. That and the part about Russia and China and Communist dupes. And I’ll have to confess that I got a bit angry and told him to stuff his ideas up his *** (which you don’t have to tell me is hardly a way to convince anyone in an argument). Then he got salty and threatened to give me a punch in the mouth if I didn’t shut up. And I really got hot and the others did, too. And we all beat the sh*t out of Mr. Conservative. And, after all, he had only himself to be blamed. This is still a free country and anyone telling a fellow like me “brother, you’re full of sh*t” better be good and ready to answer politely when asked if he’d care to say WHY!
Question: Why do Asians claim “it doesn’t happen to me” when asked about discrimination and/or racism?
I’m not sure if Asians are embarrassed about being victims of racial discrimination or prejudice but majority of them would reply “I don’t get treated that way” or “it doesn’t happen to me” when the subject of racism is discussed. I don’t think Asians want to be united to help other Asians out in trouble. Maybe Asians wanting to embrace honorary white status is true.
