It is with great pleasure that the Board of Directors of Our Neighbors’ Table in Amesbury announces the appointment of its new Executive Director Lyndsey Haight. Lyndsey is a resident of Amesbury and is very excited about taking on this role. Lyndsey has her Masters degree in Social Work from Salem State College, and since 1999, she has worked with families, children and communities to increase and improve resources to support the healthy development of children. Lyndsey has worked for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services, and has served as Executive Director for Dorchester CARES Coalition for Families & Children, where she created the organization’s first Board of Directors and established its status as a 501(c)(3) organization. Lyndsey is also a graduate of Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Public Management’s Certificate Program in Nonprofit Administration & Finance. Most recently, Lyndsey worked with the National Brain Tumor Society to build a cohesive events program that raised over $6 million across the U.S. Our Neighbors’ Table is very happy to have Lyndsey on board, and invites the community to stop in, say hello, and get to know her.
Rosemary Werner, our former Executive Director, retired in February. Rosey has been the heart and soul of Our Neighbors’ Table for 18 years, serving the last ten as Executive Director. A farewell event for Rosey will be scheduled later this spring, when members of the community will have an opportunity to celebrate and pay proper tribute to all that Rosey has done for the community. Rosey plans to continue working with the agency as a volunteer. We are so grateful to her for her years of dedicated service, for her compassion and generosity, and for the setting a standard of treating all of our guests with dignity, kindness and respect.
